the Festival
When
& Where
The
35th Annual Winter Park Autumn Art Festival will be held October
11-12, 2008, in CENTRAL PARK on PARK AVENUE in Winter Park.
The festival is open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on both days and
admission is FREE. Central Park, located north of Fairbanks on Park
Avenue, offers a spacious venue for artists, food vendors and entertainment.
About
the Artists
The
Winter Park Autumn Art Festival is the only festival to feature
Florida artists exclusively. This year, guests will enjoy work from
150 outstanding Florida artists who were selected by a panel of
judges from over 400 applications.
Art
categories include: Painting (all media), Ceramics, Fine Crafts,
Drawing & Graphics, Fibers, Sculpture, Jewelry, and Photography.
Children's
Activities
The Crealde School of Art will present free artist-inspiring workshops
for children on both days of the festival.
Merchandise
Official Winter Park Autumn Art Festival posters, T-shirts, tote
bags, and note cards will be available at three merchandise booths
during festival hours. These booths will be located at the north
entrance (Park Avenue near the stage), the south entrance (Park
Avenue and New England Avenue), and centrally at the intersection
of Morse Blvd. and Park Avenue. This year's poster features a Florida
landscape by Peter Pettegrew. Limited merchandise from previous
festivals will be available during this year's show.
Music
& Entertainment
Live music will be heard from the Main Stage throughout
the festival, including the Robert Harris Band from
3:00 - 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and Jackie Jones from
3:00 - 4:30 p.m. on Sunday.
Parking
Ample
parking is available along Park Avenue and on the surrounding streets,
with handicap spaces located off of Denning Drive.
Pets
Pets
are not allowed in Central Park. For details on
local ordinances, please contact the City of Winter Park.
