Our Parks
One of the finest Parks inventories in the Southeast. Over 70 parks
ranging from a half-acre garden to a 55-acre park. Home to 100s
of community functions throughout the year, our parks can be rented,
reserved or used for almost any activity.

Forestry Division
The City of Winter Park's Forestry Division is very active with
local Arbor Associations, "The Annual Jeannette Genius McKean
Run for the Trees", and the education of children and adults
on the importance and care of our beautiful trees. In addition this
division maintains over 25,000 trees in Winter Park.

Cemeteries Division
Our Cemeteries Division manages two municipal cemeteries available
to residents and non-residents of the City; Palm Cemetery located
on 17 acres at the intersection of Webster and New York Avenues,
and Pineywood Cemetery set on 12 acres of land on South Lakemont.

Landscaping
Our resident horticultural crew is responsible for the beautiful
landscaping designs throughout Winter Park, including Park Avenue's
designs and Central Park's exquisite rose garden. We work with many
groups throughout the year on beautification and community enhancement
projects and with individuals seeking approval of commercial landscaping
plans in accordance with ordinances.

SPECIAL EVENTS
Throughout the year the City of Winter Park is home to many spectacular
special events. Our department works with many organizations and
groups to create an annual calendar of traditional and fun-filled
cultural events for the entire community to enjoy.

Athletic and Sports Facilities
The City of Winter Park Parks and Recreation Department proudly
sponsors athletic programs, leagues and teams for sports lovers
of all kinds. Wherever your interests lie, the City of Winter Park
has a place for you to kick back, exercise and have a little fun!
We manage and maintain 2 boat ramps, 2 beaches, 23 tennis courts,
8 baseball fields, 2 softball fields, 87 mini parks, 2 soccer fields,
4 major parks, 5 basketball courts, 2 swimming pools, 1 football
field, 1 multi purpose field, 1 bike trail, 1 fitness trail, 5 playgrounds,
1 croquet court, and a nine hole golf course in addition to hundreds
of programs, activities and events! Whether your interest is clogging,
basketball, or a morning at the Farmer's Market, we have it. For

Farmer's Market
A Winter Park must! If you're searching for one of the most colorful,
fun-filled activities that Central Florida has to offer, this is
it. This energetic Winter Park tradition features some of our area's
finest produce, flowers, and seafood. baked goods, candies and many
other specialty items. In addition, this historic building has been
restored and is available for your rental needs. Operating hours
are Saturday mornings 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Central Park

This 11-acre crown jewel of the City of Winter Park downtown is
home to many events and thousands of visitor's each year. The traditional
Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival, along with outdoor music festivals,
and school activities fill this beautiful park throughout the year.
