Central Florida Vocal Arts is Changing Lives Through Music
July 15, 2026
What is Central Florida Vocal Arts?
Founded in 2012, Central Florida Vocal Arts is a nonprofit that provides community-based, hands-on performing arts experiences. Today, CFVA remains a vibrant, community-supported organization with extensive mainstage productions and music education programs designed to stimulate the creative process and cultivate a lifelong aesthetic appreciation.
The organization offers more than classes in voice, piano, guitar, acting and musical theatre. It bridges the gap between classical education and modern performance art, and CFVA is dedicated to keeping the performing arts thriving in Central Florida.
What kind of programming does Central Florida Vocal Arts offer?
Central Florida Vocal Arts offers experiences for performers and artists of all ages and skill levels.
Children can take weekly music lessons or participate in the week-long Summer Institute, where they can be on stage singing, acting or dancing, or behind the metaphorical (and literal) curtain with programs like scriptwriting and focusing on arts creation.
CFVA partners with school districts in Orange and Osceola counties, as well as the public libraries in Winter Park and Orange County, to offer free opportunities for students and residents, respectively. In Title I schools, CFVA's Arts 1:1 program offers free, private music lessons for students who would not be able to afford them otherwise.
CFVA also partners with Camp Boggy Creek to afford their campers arts experiences, so that learning disabilities or chronic illnesses do not hold these children back from meaningful arts experiences.
Professional artists can be a part of CFVA's regular season, participating in contracted performances.
Where can I see performances by Central Florida Vocal Arts?
Central Florida Vocal Arts has performances all around the greater Orlando area.
Its 2026-2027 professional season will be hosted at the Alexis & Jim Pugh Theater in the Dr. Phillips Center for Performing Arts. For more specifics on programming, including shows and dates, visit the CFVA website.
Arts lovers of any age can find free CFVA programming at Orange County libraries and the Winter Park Library, accessible to residents with a library card.
How can I get involved with Central Florida Vocal Arts?
There are many ways to get involved with Central Florida Vocal Arts. For children, CFVA offers studio lessons, virtual music lessons, and its Summer Institute.
Professional performers are invited to audition for CFVA each season and can learn more on the CFVA website. All adult roles are paid.
Individuals, schools and organizations looking to book CFVA for programming or a performance can do so through the CFVA website.
For those who still want to support CFVA without performing, volunteer opportunities are available.
