When and where is this event happening?
Winter on the Avenue is on December 5, 2025, 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. on Park Avenue and in Central Park, Winter Park
Is this event free to attend?
Yes, this event is free and open to the public.
What activities will be at the event?
During Winter on the Avenue, there will be The Bubble Bus, Stilt Walking Elves, snow slides, smores with Winter Park Fire Department, and Popcorn Flicks in the park by The Enzian Theater. This year's movie is Frozen, starting at 7 p.m.
Will there be food and drinks available?
Yes. Attendees can enjoy treats like s’mores, popcorn in the park, and food/drink options from nearby restaurants along Park Avenue. Bring friends and plan on doing dinner out or picking up something to picnic in the park.
Is there music or entertainment?
Yes, there will be Christmas carolers and the Belles & Beaux from Central Florida Vocal Arts strolling along Park Avenue for all to enjoy.
The Enzian Theater will host a movie in Central Park starting at 7 p.m. This year's Popcorn Flicks in the Park will be Frozen.
Where should I park?
There are several public parking lots and garages just a short walk from Park Avenue, including:
- Truist Garage (203 E. Lyman Ave)
- Canton Garage (150 E. Canton Ave)

Handicap-accessible spaces are also available.
Can I bring my dog?
No dogs or pets are allowed in Central Park during the festival per City of Winter Park rules. Service animals are, of course, welcome.
What should I bring with me?
We recommend bringing:
- A reusable water bottle
- A light jacket or sweater
- Comfortable shoes for walking
- A tote or bag for shopping
- Blanket or foldable chairs if you plan to sit in Central Park for the movie or music
Most vendors accept card payments, but it’s good to have a little cash just in case.
What happens if it rains?
The event is planned to go on rain or shine. Pack an umbrella or light rain jacket just in case.
What time is the Christmas Tree and Menorah lighting?
The annual Christmas tree lighting and ceremonial Chanukah Menorah lighting ceremony will start 5:00 p.m. The tree and stage for the ceremony is located near the corner of Park Ave. and Morse Blvd.
Will Santa Claus be there?
Yes, Santa and Mrs. Claus will be making an appearance at Winter on the Avenue. They will arrive by fire truck on Park Avenue and be available for photos 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
